The bottom is more of the same, just harder to remove. It's difficult to clean the paint from this as well. There are so many little areas for the pain to hide.

Also there is the part that goes around the battery. Mine had a crack in it from a previous meeting with the floor - so was extra hard to remove the paint from.

* Take note too that you have to remove the locking mechanism for the battery. This thing is melted together so you have to cut the plastic tabs that hold it on. They're little posts that have been melted to flay out the top Ğ thus holding it together. You'll want to keep as much of this as possible intact because you'll have to reĞmelt it with a solder gun when you put it back together and you want to have as much plastic to work with as possible.

** The battery itself is stupid hard to get apart. Everything but the battery snaps open. This bit almost had me convinced to stop the project. It's glued on but not just along the edges, the entire thing is affixed with some devil glue that is very hard to get off. Take your time and just keep working on it. Maybe some models are different than others but it took me over an hour. Also of note is that there is a thin covering underneath the shell you're trying to remove that's likely to stick to the shell while trying to pry it off. Make sure this remains on the battery pack. Afterwards you will need more glue to refix. I used double sided tape for now. I'll post an update if it doesn't hold.
